Mark Ewell
Mark Ewell (b. 1997) is a percussionist performer and composer who has numerous experience in many ensembles from traditional percussion ensembles, all the way to new age digital solo's and ensembles. He is currently earning his degree in music education instrumental with a focus in percussion performance from Winthrop University and is on pace to graduate in the spring of 2020. He is an active member in the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) and has written numerous method books as well as solo's and compositions for band/choir. In addition to this, Mark is an educator and clinician helping many high school level bands with developing percussionists to their fullest potential. He is currently employed at York Preparatory Academy in Rock Hill SC where he is the drum line instructor with the marching band and co-founder of Revolution Percussion, the schools indoor percussion group, both of whom regularly compete at the state championship level. Mark also is the founder of the Chamber Percussion Collective, a percussion ensemble focused on exposing new people to the world of percussion ensembles. They perform a numerous variety of works including solo's, traditional percussion ensemble pieces, as well as new age pop/rock style charts on percussion instruments and voice.
